Notes
Suffering with Mesothelioma, an asbestos causing lung cancer, Sergeant Ferrell knew his life was being cut short. He expressed his desire to be buried wearing the Marine dress uniform. Problem, he no longer had his own. His wife, Joyce contacted Army Veteran, Bill Bishop. Bill and Marine Veteran Buck Collins traveled to US Marine Corps Logistic Base, Albany and told them what they needed. In short order, the Marines produced several uniforms complete with required insignias and medals. Sergeant Ferrell knew his request would be fulfilled.
