Born: Birmingham, Alabama. Attended Cairo High School. Service Number 269-29-79. Was the Disabled American Veterans Service officer for 51 yrs. and helped form 6 chapters of the DAV. Helped form VFW Post 8433 and was a member for 51 yrs. Formed, organized, and held the Veterans Day parade in Cairo for 20 years. Transported veterans to the VA hospital for 15 yrs. Worked tirelessly for veterans in our community. Burial: Capel Cemetery, Grady County, Georgia.
