- Combat Medical Badge; Silver Star Medal, Citation reads....At a time when his battalion was engaged in prolonged and intense combat, HARRISON, a medical technician, constantly exposed himself to intense barrages of enemy fire in going forward upon his own initiative to search for and evacuate the wounded. Working tirelessly without food or rest, he led litter bearers over fire swept terrain, established collection points, and directed the evacuation of wounded soldiers over the rough terrain to the aid station. Observing a wounded man lying exposed to intense fire, he crawled 100 yards at the risk of his life to administer first aid and drag the injured soldier to safety.
