He was a machinist and was given honors at Grand Forks, North Dakota for his invention that saved the government thousands of dollars on parts for planes. Survivors include daughters, Jennifer (Steve) Johnson, Lake City, Florida and Sandra (David) Rogers, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Buried with military honors, Jacksonville National Cemetery, Jacksonville, Florida.
