- (Just after midnight November 28, 1950 the medical company convoy came under intense fire from hill 1221 and was all but wiped out. Captain Hank Wamble, the medical company executive officer, reached the 3rd Battalion's perimeter command post but had been shot in the chest and was barely able to breathe.
