Bryant received a message from Harris (Adjutant General) that his son, Lawson Fair Bryant was dead overseas. Mr. Bryant had been notified that Lawson had been wounded in battle. It is probable that he died of those wounds. Burial; Cairo Cemetery, Cairo, Georgia.
