Born; Duncanville (Beachton), Grady County, Georgia. Son of David G. and Mamie L. Dickey, Beachton, Grady County, Georgia. Was working in a gold mine when captured by Japanese forces on May 29, 1942. He met his wife Wilma (Park) Dickey, DOB January 26, 1916, DOD February 20, 2010, a missionary, while they were both in prison (Camp Holmes, Baguio, Luzon, Philippines). Burial; Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, Lee, Madison County, Florida.
