Army serial number 07-753-326. Born; Cairo, Georgia. Graduate of Cairo High School 1940 and two years at University of Georgia. B-25 bomber pilot who was wounded and captured when his bomber was forced down by enemy flack, while on a bomb run over Nazi occupied Northern Italy. He later died of his wounds in a German military hospital (Lazarett). Burial; Oconee Hill Cemetery, Athens, Clarke County, Georgia.
